A catalyst is a substance capable of accelerating a reaction, in order to transform raw materials applied in other subsidiary processes.

Salmon has extensive experience in supplying catalysts to industry, having started its activity in this area with Monsanto (a former US petrochemical company), and currently with Shell Catalysts, with whom we maintain a strong cooperation.

The catalysts we offer are based on metals: Ni (Nickel), Pd (Palladium) and Pt (Platinum), with the first being the most common. They are mainly used in petrochemical processes, as in the production of plastic materials, polyurethane foam, photographic reagents and synthetic paints, but also in the hydrogenation of natural oils for the food and cosmetics industry.
