Kraiburg is a renowned European partner in the field of Elastomeric Thermoplastics (TPEs), commonly referred to as styrenic rubbers or simply rubbers. This is a distinct class of plastic products, as it bridges the gap between rigid plastics and malleable rubbers.

Its application fields have expanded in recent years, covering various sectors, such as medical and industrial applications (seals, profiles, box lids, etc.), automotive, construction, and simple everyday objects such as bracelets or toothbrushes.

Through continuous investment in research and development, aimed at improving existing properties or embracing new fields of application, Kraiburg offers industry with a set of unique and distinctive product ranges, including:

  • Sustainable products incorporating up to 75% post-consumer recycled (PCR) or post-industrial recycled (PIR) materials. These are complete product lines with properties identical to those incorporating only virgin material.
  • Products with lower density, meaning they occupy the same volume but weigh less. These products can be used, for example, in the automotive sector.
  • Very soft products, that can for example be used in medical applications, but with properties that allow for easy processing.
  • Impact or shock absorption products, that can be used for example in sports on knee and elbow pads.

There is also the possibility of expanding these applications to new fields through the design of parts that exploit the properties of the various ranges.

Additionally, Kraiburg can customize products according to customer needs and the intended use of the final product. Thus, among many other types of additives, it is possible to add anti-UV and biocidal agents for products intended for outdoor and humid environments, add flame retardants for electrical applications and supply compounds y in the color desired by the customer.

For more information on all these applications, we have a fully dedicated team at your disposal.
